What to Bring and What Not to Bring

Patients should bring insurance cards and a photo ID. We suggest bringing 5 days worth of clothing that is not tight, revealing, sleeveless or inappropriate. Patients may bring unopened personal hygiene items on the substance use unit, prescription medications, cigarettes, reading material that is recovery-based, and stamps. For convenience, NA and AA Big Books are sold at Roxbury. For a more comprehensive list or questions about a specific item, please contact our admissions department at 717-530-2206.

Lighters, matches, pagers, cell phones, car keys, books, magazines, personal pillow and blanket, metal hangers, pocket knives, scissors, sharp implements, glass bottle items, perfume, oils, cologne, nail polish and remover, radios, plastic bags, lap tops, weapons, illegal drugs, candy, rolling papers, electrical equipment, band and/or music T-shirts, hats, aerosol spray items, electronic devices including battery-powered toothbrushes, and stuffed animals.

PLEASE NOTE: You and your belongings will be searched prior to admission.
